Rebecca & Paul - Herm Island Wedding

It is always special to go over to Herm, for a wedding especially so.

An early start was necessary, Uncle Paul in his boat took the hair and make-up ladies and myself before the first scheduled ferry. Becki was getting ready at the White House Hotel and the room was rather busy as everyone got ready for the 11:30am ceremony.

Karen, my wife and assistant, photographed the groomsmen getting ready before they walked up the hill to St. Tugual’s Chapel.

The rain came down quite heavily, but of course it’s lucky to have rain on your wedding day! It is fair to say St. Tugual’s Chapel was packed to capacity, Rev. Peter Graysmith conducted a beautiful ceremony.

The rain had virtually stopped as everyone exited the church, a big line of guests for the confetti! Then we took a trip to a couple of scenic spots for some pictures before re-joining the guests at the marquee.

Family group pictures were next on the schedule, before the call to the beautifully decorated marquee. Speeches followed the food and were a good laugh, especially with three best men!

By now the sun was warm and the skies were blue.

After the first dance we enjoyed a few quick sunset pictures before it was back to Last of the Light Brigade entertaining everyone. There was some frantic dancing to the great music. What a wonderful wedding day, best wishes to Becki & Paul.
